Artist Statement

My intent to make art is the ever evolving act of creating--exploring the creative principle--verses a point of destination. There is a goal to be considered, but my desire is to remain open to the energetic dialogue between me, the media, the ideas and imagery unfolding. Mystery resides in this state of amplification. This multidimensional space is an accumulation of perspective, perception, vision and surprise. I am never left with what I think I know to be, and this suits me.

Creating art is the educator and the by-product, the work of art, is the communicator. Upon completion of the work, the viewer enters the process-- to experience personal levels of awareness. To create an environment of possibilities, is what art is all about.
